The latest addition to the Xbox One exclusive fighter Killer Instinct is rolling out to players now. Hisako (previously code-named Ghost Girl) is a fallen Japanese villager on an eternal quest to avenge her murdered family. She wields a naginata blade staff, and sports various unique features.
In addition to Hisako, Killer Instinct dev Iron Galaxy have teased the penultimate Season 2 roster addition offering a brief glimpse at Cinder, a humanoid inferno derived from the experiments of Ultratech.
Hisako borrows abilities from the ghosts of famous Japanese horror movies like The Ring and The Grudge, complete with creepy ambidextrous rush animations, command grab enemy possession and the unique traits that allow her to perform perpetual counters.
Cinder, on the other hand, has ditched his Human Torch look from the classic games, and now looks as though he's comprised of molten lava. He jumps in to take on T.J. Combo at the end of the teaser above, and already has fans divided over his new design.
The Hisako update patch also comes with a swell of gameplay balances and adjustments which can be read about in more detail here.
