Microsoft's new trailer for the upcoming Xbox One shooter Halo 5: Guardians reveals its release date as October 27, 2015. The trailer is the latest part of the company's viral "Hunt the Truth" marketing campaign for the game, developed by 343 Industries.
The trailer itself, which was posted on YouTube, is a live-action spot and shows Spartan soldier Locke walking around a rubble of debris from a once large city. He's talking about how the hero of the entire Halo game series, Master Chief, has apparently betrayed the human race. The clip ends with Locke finding a wounded Master Chief lying next to a statue of himself, and apparently about to be shot by Locke.
There's also a new podcast clip on the Hunt the Truth Tumblr site, where fictional journalist "Benjamin Giraud" officially begins his look at the fictional backstory of Master Chief.
Update: Microsoft has released a second trailer for Halo 5: Guardians, which shows Master Chief about to shoot Spartan Locke. Hmmmm.....
