We are just over a week away from the launch of Mortal Kombat X on the Xbox One and today the launch trailer for the upcoming graphic fighting game shows us how brutal and dramatic it will be when it comes out April 14.
The trailer shows a mix of gameplay and cinematic cut scenes, featuring many of the game's signature characters, along with a few of its trademark fataltiies. The launch trailer was directed by System of a Down's Shavo Odadjian with that band's hit song "Chop Suey" playing as some appropriately hard rock background music.
You can still pre-order the digital version of the game for the Xbox One for $59.99 which will allow you to access Goro for free. There's also the Premium Edition of the game for $89.99 which offers access to the Samurai skin pack and the Kombat Pack which will add four new character to the game in the coming months, including the Predator movie franchise monster and Jason Voorhees from the Friday The 13th movie series. The Xbox 360 version of the game will be released sometime this summer.
