A new teaser trailer released today officially confirmed that the next game in Activision's long running Call of Duty shooter series will be sub-titled Black Ops III. The trailer also shows that we will get more details on the game on Sunday, April 26.
A post on Activision's official blog also confirms that Call of Duty: Black Ops III will be developed by Treyarch, the creators of the last two Black Ops game entries. The big question: What time period will Black Ops III be set? Black Ops I's storyline was set during the 1960s while Black Ops II started in the 1980s and ended in the year 2025.
Activision has yet to reveal the platforms for Call of Duty: Black Ops III but it's likely that the game will be released for the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and the PC. It remains to be seen if the game will also be launched for the last generation consoles, the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. However, it's very likely that the Xbox platforms will be the first to see post-release DLC content from Black Ops III.
