If you see a software update showing up for your Xbox One console later today, don't get too excited. This download will apparently be a small one with no new features included.
News of the update was posted up by Microsoft's head of Xbox Live programming Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb on his Twitter account:
"Your Xbox One will get a small update today. No new features. Just a few behind the scenes changes to prepare for the future."
It's possible that this update may be part of Microsoft's plans to prepare the Xbox One for its promised upgrade to the Windows 10 operating system. So far, there's been no word on when that might happen.
