Activision shown off the first multiplayer footage from Call of Duty: Black Ops III this week as part of E3 2015. However, the first person shooter will also be the first game in the series in a long time that won't offer Xbox games a chance to get its post-release DLC content ahead of its other platforms.
As far as the multiplayer portion of Black Ops III, Activision says:
"The new movement system allows players to fluidly chain movements together while playing in maps that have been designed from the ground-up to push strong head-to-head action. Choose to play as one of nine new Specialists, each with their own look, personality, abilities, and level progression system. Finally, equip up to five attachments and an optic while customizing nearly every aspect of your loadout with the new Gunsmith, then tap the power of the Weapon Paintshop to give your weapon a signature look."
The bigger news is that Black Ops III gamers on Sony's PlayStation 3 and 4 consoles will be the first to get its post-release DLC packs and that PlayStation 4 gamers will get first crack at the upcoming multiplayer beta test in August. Microsoft had secured the DLC timed exclusives for the past several Call of Duty games, so this is a big shake-up in the console game industry.
