If you pre-ordered Wolfenstein: The New Order for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 or PC, you might have a chance to play the upcoming multiplayer alpha test for the upcoming reboot of id Software's Doom game.
Publisher Bethesda Softworks revealed the plans for the multiplayer alpha as part of its [QuakeCon 2015(/tag/quakecon) announcements:
"In the coming months, we'll be selecting Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC players from the Wolfenstein: TNO Beta pool to participate in the DOOM Multiplayer Alpha. To make sure you're eligible, make sure you redeem your DOOM Beta code at www.wolfenstein.com/doom. If you purchased the game digitally through Steam, PSN, or Xbox Live, you're already set — you have a digital entitlement that will ready you for the Alpha when it starts."
While only invited players will be able to participate in the Doom alpha test, Bethesda has confirmed again that anyone who pre-ordered Wolfenstein: The New Order will get to play the Doom multiplayer beta test that will be made available afterwards. The full version of the Doom reboot is scheduled to be released sometime in the spring of 2016.
