Microsoft has dropped its price for the Xbox One in the UK. The next-gen video game console will set consumers back £399.99, should they be looking to hop onto the advanced gaming train. To make this deal that much more unique, Redmond will bundle Titanfall packaging and a copy of the game. That, and you also get Xbox Live Gold to play online with friends.

While this price drop isn't a severe cut to the cost of the machine, it's a move illustrating how Microsoft is looking to combat competitive Sony and the PlaySation 4. "At Xbox, we believe there’s never been a better time to join the new console generation," said Xbox UK marketing director Harvey Eagle. "To help our fans do just that, Xbox One will be available at the new UK estimated retail price (ERP) of £399.99 from February 28th. And while supplies last, fans will also get Titanfall – the most anticipated game of the year – included in the box."

The PlayStation 4 currently sells for £349, but Microsoft aims to make the Xbox One more affordable through this price reduction. It's worth noting that the Xbox comes with the Kinect, while the PS4 camera is sold separately.

Titanfall is the much anticipated Xbox One exclusive title, which will launch on March 11th. If you already own an Xbox One console and wish to get a taste of what's to come, be sure to check out the Titanfall beta and/or these videos. The new bundle will be available from UK retailers from February 28th.
