Xbox One owners will not only be able to watch the streaming video broadcast of The Game Awards 2015 on Thursday, Dec. 3, they will be able to compete with their friends in a special feature that's just for users of Microsoft console. The event, which officially kicks of at 9 p.m. ET, will include a way for players to predict who will win in each category before they are announced, and they will compare their results with their friends.
An online leaderboard will be shown alongside the streaming video of The Game Awards that will quickly allow Xbox One users to show their friends their prediction prowess. In addition, there will be special discount on certain nominated games in the Xbox digital store that can be bought and downloaded directly from the streaming video.
While the event won't officially start until 9 p.m. ET on Thursday, there will also be a pre-show special starting at 8:30 p.m. ET that will include the first footage of Baba Yaga, the first expansion pack for Rise of the Tomb Raider. There will also be new gameplay footage from the upcoming Xbox One exclusive game Quantum Break that will debut during the main awards show.
