In a surprise announcement this week, Bethesda gave the release date to the Doom reboot: Friday, May 13. To help the hype train, Bethesda gave late-night personality Conan O'Brien and two Super Bowl 50 players an early look at the game in the latest installment of Clueless Gamer series.
Conan's at it again with his hilarious take on video games, this time with Denver Broncos' Von Miller and Carolina Panthers' Josh Norman as they play the new Doom reboot. The video gives us some new footage from Doom's campaign, but unfortunately, no new story content is shown. Instead, we see some awesome kill animations. And really, isn't that what Doom's all about?
For example, you can rip a demon's heart out and force feed it to him, causing him to explode. If that's not enough, you can use your chainsaw to dismember enemies' limbs, or you can just punch their heads clean off. You know, as you do. As usual, Conan uses his satirical punchlines to critique the game, its enemies, and his fellow players.
If you watch long enough, prior Clueless Gamer participant Marshawn Lynch of the Seattle Seahawks makes an appearance and adds to the hilarity.
Doom is set to launch on May 13 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
