id Software and Bethesda Softworks have extended the multiplayer open beta period for the upcoming first person shooter reboot DOOM. The beta, which was supposed to end on Sunday, April 17, will now end at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time today.
The official DOOM Twitter page posted the word on the extension:

The open beta offers players access to two of the game's multiplayer levels, Heatwave and Infernal, in Team Deathmatch and Warpath modes, along with several of the games weapons and more content. The final version of DOOM for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will be released on May 13.
