Hot on the heels of the latest Xbox One update, Microsoft has announced that 45 new apps will be making their way to the Xbox One and Xbox 360. These include apps from Twitter, HBO, Showtime, and Major League Gaming. The full list of upcoming apps is available on Xbox Wire.
Twitter will be integrated into the Xbox One's U.S. TV functionality, letting viewers see what people on Twitter are saying about the show they are watching. Twitter will also become a part of OneGuide, showing you which programs people are talking about the most.
Several video-on-demand services are making their way to Xbox as well. HBO Go will finally be available on the Xbox One in the US, and is coming to a number of Central and South American countries on the Xbox 360. Xbox One is also getting apps from the NHL, Comedy Central, Watchever, and Sky News. The Xbox 360 will be getting Showtime Anytime, Filmbox Live, KDrama, and WatchABC.
Microsoft did not announce exactly when these apps will be available, except to say that they should all have launched by "the end of this holiday season."
