A new report claims that an unnamed major game developer is working on a virtual reality game for Microsoft's Xbox One console for a launch sometime in 2017.
The report comes from Ars Technica, which states:
Ars isn't at liberty to discuss the name of the game or the specific developer, but we can say that a well-known European studio is planning "a new VR game" set in the universe of an established, long-running franchise.
The report adds that the game will in fact be shown in mid-June as part of E3 2016. The game will also reportedly be coming to the PC and PlayStation 4 consoles. This story would seem to add credence to recent rumors that Microsoft is planning a major hardware refresh for the Xbox One that will support virtual reality headsets.
