Microsoft has quietly confirmed that Halo Wars 2, the real-time strategy game for Xbox One and Windows 10 that was first announced last year, will be shown in playable form at E3 2016 in June.
Microsoft announced Halo Wars 2's appearance at E3 2016 as part of their weekly Halo blog post, while also hinting at something else that could be revealed at the trade show in Los Angeles.
The Halo Wars 2 team is anxiously gearing up for E3, where the game will indeed be playable. There's also – well, I can't talk about more just yet.
Microsoft has been quiet about Halo Wars 2 since it was first revealed at Gamescon in August 2015, with only a CGI teaser trailer and a launch date of fall 2016. The game itself is being developed by Sega's Total War team at The Creative Assembly. We'll be checking out at E3 in June, so stay tuned for first-hand impressions!
