Every weekend, Windows Central streams an Xbox One or Steam game on Twitch for 1-2 hours and gives out free games to the cool people who join us during the stream. It's like a live podcast, only you also get to watch a game while chatting with our awesome readers and viewers!
Tonight at 9pm Eastern (8pm Central, 6pm Pacific, 1am GMT), we'll be playing Resident Evil from Capcom. The Xbox One version of the original Resident Evil features widescreen support, improved controls, and more enhancements. We're also giving out more than 10 codes for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Steam! Read on for quick impressions and contest details.

Resident Evil
The original Resident Evil debuted on the first PlayStation way back in 1996. It saw no less than three PSOne versions, beginning a legacy of rereleases and remakes (not to mention countless sequels like Resident Evil Revelations 2).
In 2002, Capcom released a complete remake of Resident Evil for GameCube. This version, affectionately known as Remake by fans, revamped all of the in-game graphics and even introduced a proper English script and voice acting. Before that, the voices were provided by janitors and newspaper delivery people, I like to think.
The remade version of Resident Evil was recently remastered for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and 4, and PC. This remastered version features widescreen support, post-processing effects and improved backgrounds, and a new alternate control scheme. The Alternate Controls replaces the original tank-style movement controls with a more natural style of movement.
Resident Evil is a classic survival horror game in players choose between Chris and Jill Valentine, two members of a police unit called STARS who experience the same story from different perspectives. Their squad becomes trapped in a mansion while investigating the disappearance of a previous squad and a series of mysterious deaths. Chris and Jill must explore the mansion, solve devious puzzles, and battle zombies and other monsters as they uncover the biological crimes of the Umbrella Corporation.

The Contest
We'll be streaming Resident Evil for ~90 minutes tonight, starting at 9pm Eastern (8pm Central, 6pm Pacific, 2am GMT). During that time, we'll be giving out a total of 13 game codes:
- 7 for Xbox One
- 3 for PlayStation 4 (North American accounts only)
- 3 for Steam

You can watch the stream right here in this post, but you need to actually participate in the stream chat to have a chance at winning. How to watch Twitch livestreams
What's the best way to experience Twitch? The Twitch website on your PC or Mac web browser. If you don't have or prefer not to use a computer, you can get the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or Xbox 360 Twitch apps and watch from the comfort of your couch. Android and iOS both have official and unofficial Twitch apps to choose from as well.
On Windows Phone, you'll have to grab an unofficial app. There are several to choose from, each with different strengths and weaknesses. Only one app lets you search directly for our channel, though. If you use the others you'll have to find and follow us from a web browser first. Read the roundup to learn more!
