Much like Microsoft's ID@Xbox program supports small developers get their games out to the world, EA has announced its own similar program. EA Originals is designed to help recognize talented indie developers reach larger audiences while retaining all of their profits.
12 months ago EA debuted Unravel, which would fit within the new program. EA says it wants to make sure these developers are able to continue on its way developing new great games in the future.
The first EA Original will be a game called Fe, a curious looking title that will "combine storytelling and art." If the early screenshots are anything to go by, it certainly got the art part right. There are no words, just music, and this is how the animals in the game will communicate. It sounds intriguing and it's something we'll no doubt see more of in the future with EA behind it.
