Microsoft's Xbox head Phil Spencer says that the team has "already looked at" adding wheelchair props for Xbox Live avatars and their release could be "not far off".
Many Xbox gamers use their Avatars as a way to show a representation of their real selves. Adding wheelchair props could allow those players with certain disabilities to have a more accurate Avatar. Seamus Blackley, one of the people who first came up with the original Xbox console when he worked at Microsoft, brought up this possibility in a recent Twitter post directed to Spencer (via Winbeta):
Hey @XboxP3 I'm pretty serious-- depending on how skeletons are done on avatars, wheelchairs might be relatively simple and the #rightthing

In response, Spencer stated:
@goldennike11@SeamusBlackley No petition needed, we hear you. This is something that we've already looked at, not far off.
