Watch and win as we play 10 Second Ninja X with the developer

Every weekend, Windows Central streams an Xbox One or Steam game on Twitch for 1-2 hours and gives out free games to the cool people who join us during the stream. It's like a live podcast, only you also get to watch a game while chatting with our awesome readers and viewers!

Tonight at 9pm Eastern (8pm Central, 6pm Pacific, 1am GMT), we'll be playing 10 Second Ninja X, a platformer with 10-second levels. Dan Pearce, Game Designer at Four Circle Interactive, will join us on mic. We're also giving out 10 codes for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Steam! Read on for quick impressions and contest details.

Just follow us at Twitch.tv/WindowsCentral, enable email notifications, watch along, and participate in chat for your chance to win. After the stream ends, be sure to check back for the YouTube replay video and contest winners.

Tip: If watching the stream in another window, close this one to avoid audio echoes.

10 Second Ninja X

10 Second Ninja X

The original 10 Second Ninja game debuted on Steam in 2014. Now developer Four Circle Interactive and publisher Curve Digital have teamed up to release the sequel 10 Second Ninja X on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Steam.

10 Second Ninja X is a fast-paced platformer with 100 extra-fast levels. Each level only lasts a maximum of 10 seconds, so you'll have to complete them quickly or die trying. The faster you finish, the higher your star rating. Stars are required to unlock new levels in the massive airship hub world, so perfecting levels becomes just as important as beating them.

Our hero ninja simply has to defeat all of the robotic bad guys in a level to beat it. No small task as the levels become increasingly complex and more challenging – it'll take smart use of his sword, shurikens, and double jump, not to mention plenty of practice.

10 Second Ninja X features a cute story in which a lonely airship pirate has decided to pick on the 10 Second Ninja in order to feel better about himself. Will our hero be able to finish all 100 10-second levels and stop the pirate's antics without hurting his feelings? Watch us play (with help from Dan Pearce, who designed the game) to find out!

During launch week, 10 Second Ninja X costs only $5.99. The regular price will be $9.99 thereafter.

How to watch Twitch livestreams

10 Second Ninja X

What's the best way to experience Twitch? The Twitch website on your PC or Mac web browser. If you don't have or prefer not to use a computer, you can get the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or Xbox 360 Twitch apps and watch from the comfort of your couch. Android and iOS both have official and unofficial Twitch apps to choose from as well.

On Windows Phone, you'll have to grab an unofficial app. There are several to choose from, each with different strengths and weaknesses. Only one app lets you search directly for our channel, though. If you use the others, you'll have to find and follow us from a web browser first. Read the roundup to learn more!
