Bungie has released the final update for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 players of its sci-fi shooter Destiny. The developer is moving nearly all of its attention to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game.
The latest Destiny patch notes state:
This update will also be the last scheduled deployment for Legacy Consoles, excluding emergency fixes for future game-breaking issues.
As previously reported, only the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players of Destiny will be able to purchase and download the game's next major expansion, Rise of Iron, when it is released in September. Starting in August, older console players of the game won't be able to get access to many of Destiny's weeky events like Trials of Osiris and Iron Banner. Those players can still transfer their Destiny character, with all of its progress, from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One version, or from PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4.
