Microsoft has started sending out emails to people who pre-ordered the 2TB version of its Xbox One S console, informing them that shipments have begun. The $399 version of the console should begin arriving on Tuesday, August 2.
First announced at E3 2016 in June, the white Xbox One S is 40% smaller than the current Xbox One console, and can also support the playback of streaming 4K video and UHD Blu-ray discs. The new console also comes with the slightly redesigned version of the standard Xbox One controller, which supports Bluetooth on Windows 10 devices.
Microsoft has also started taking pre-orders for the $299 500GB version of the Xbox One S, along with the $349 1TB edition. Those consoles will officially go on sale August 23.
