People who have pre-ordered the Xbox Design Lab custom controllers for the Xbox One have received emails stating that shipments have started, with the first expected to arrive for customers by the end of August.
Microsoft began taking pre-orders for the controllers back in June for the starting price of $79.99. The company said at the time that shipments would begin sometime in early September, so it sounds like they are going out a few days ahead of schedule.
As we have reported previously, the Xbox Design Lab allows people to put different colors for many of the Xbox One controller parts, and there's also the option to put your name or Xbox Live Gamertag via laser etching for an extra fee.
