Microsoft has revealed the lineup of the four free games that will be given to Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners during October, if they pay for an Xbox Live Gold subscription as part of the monthly Games with Gold promotion.
The free Xbox One games will include Super Mega Baseball: Extra Innings, which will be free for the entire month of October. While the game has a cartoony art style, it has a deep baseball simulation game engine with realistic physics. From October 16 to November 15, Xbox Live Gold subscribers can get the Xbox One version of the prison-based game The Escapist, with its 8-bit art look.
The free Xbox 360 games will include the off-road racing game MX vs ATV Reflex, which will be free to download from October 1-15. The other free Xbox 360 game will be I Am Alive. The Ubisoft-published third-person action game about a man trying to survive a planet-wide apocalypse, will be free from October 16-31. Both games will be playable on the Xbox One as well, via its backwards compatibility feature.
