The Xbox One had a very good Black Friday, becoming the top-selling console at major retailers, including Walmart and Target. Behind the Xbox One were Sony's PlaStation 4 and the Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS handheld. Overall, Xbox systems accounted for 62 percent of Black Friday console sales, with the Xbox One at 53 percent, and the Xbox 360 at 9 percent, according to new data from InfoScout.
The sales of the One were helped by the discounts on console and game bundles. Many Xbox One bundles started at $329, $70 less than the normal starting price not just of the Xbox One, but also its chief rival, the PlayStation 4. Bundles included games like Assassin's Creed: Unity and Halo: The Master Chief Collection. The One also seems to have been popular with parents, with 66 percent of those surveyed saying that they purchased an Xbox One for their children.
