Long time PC gamers are likely fans of the King's Quest series of adventure titles from Sierra Studios. On Friday, as part of the first annual Game Awards, Activision showed off the first trailer of the revamped King's Quest, which is due for release on the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC, among other platforms, in the fall of 2015.
While it's way too early to pass judgement on the game, the trailer seems to show that the new King's Quest won't be a straight adventure title but a third person puzzle-platformer game. It's being developed by The Old Gentlemen and will be published by Activision as part of their revival of the Sierra brand for smaller, indie-based games. In a press release, the publisher said the new game "reimagines the core characters and familiar storylines of King Graham's early journeys, setting up new chapters tied to – but independent of – the original games."
